Drawing of a roman soldier, likely a preparatory study for a larger work, in the style of Francesco Salviati. The work is on paper in pen and brown wash, heightened with white, over black chalk. Possibly for the piece Martyrdom of St Lawrence, unsigned. Presented in a later gilt frame. Measures 8.5 inches H x 6 W framed, 4.25 inches H x 2.25 W within matting.
