The Edo period blade is 12 inches (30 cm) and signed Iga No Kami Kinmichi. Condition is good, with some blemishes, cracks and scratches expected from a roughly 330 years blade. It comes with a white sheath or shirasaya, to store the blade properly while putting the wooden blade in the koshirae, as Japanese collectors do. It has a very much sought after modern koshirae or mountings from the Showa period, (1926-1989) a koshirae that shows stunning details. Overall koshirae is 31.5 inches or 80 cm. Blade is circa 1695, koshirae is from the second part of the 20th century. No papers. No rack included.
