Antique Carved Wooden Ark Pediment Decalogue
An antique and monumental paint-decorated, gilt-heightened, carved wooden ark pediment depicting gilded lions flanking the Decalogue. An early example of a carving designed for a synagogue ark pediment. Artist unknown. Finely carved, painted and repainted restorations. Dimensions: 44 x 23 inches.
