Antique Japanese Edo Kanei period (1624–1644) beautiful long katana signed Minono Kami Fujiwara Mastune with 2 NBTHK papers, one for the pristine blade and one for the exceptional koshirae. The very thick blade is 28 inches long and flawless. Koshirae is also remarkable. Fuchi and kachira offers as wave pattern done with Shakudo, and old Japanese technique that involves alloying gold and copper to create a distinctive rich dark patina. Tsuba is a Daito Heianjyo Myoganari, a 3.3 inches very big tsuba with openwork and inserts of brass and gold. Menuki set is copper with gold painting. The saya is also in excellent condition. Comes with a silk bag. Stand is not included.
