17th-18th C Polychrome Saint Expeditus Statue
17th-18th C European Polychrome Saint Expeditus Statue, the patron saint for procrastinators. In carved and polychrome walnut wood, the figure is wearing a flowing red robe and is standing with his left hand held high. Originally the figure would have held a cross in his right hand and a palm frond in his left. Overall incredible condition for its age and large size, retaining its original paint. Continental (likely France or Italy), the figure measures 34 inches H x 18 W x 7 deep.
