Caleb Keene Painted Chinoiserie Lacquer Cabinet
Caleb Keene (Canadian, 1862 – 1954) 1930s Hand Painted Chinoiserie Blue Lacquer Cabinet on Stand. Hand painted lacquer cabinet by master lacquer artist Caleb Keene. Keene was the principal lacquer artist for Toronto’s famous Ridpath’s Fine Furniture, as well as an accomplished artist. He was considered the most important lacquer artist in the Dominion and was world famous. Overall great condition, some loss to paint as shown. 42 inches H x 59 W x 25 D.
