Japanese Samurai Daito Heianjyo Myoganari Tsuba
Very large 3.3 x 3.3 (150 g) tsuba for the biggest samurai sword, the Daito sword. Inserts of brass and gold. Very nice openwork. A very fine example of high-class tsuba for rich samurais. Circa 1800, with box (measures 5 x 4.5 x 1.25 inches).
