Muromachi Japanese Samurai Blade Echizen Shimosaka
Really old signed and dated blade in shirasaya, from the late Muromachi 8 year (443 years old) and signed by famous Echizen Jyunin Shimosaka. Judgment papers are included. The blade is in good condition for age, measuring 14.7 inches or 37.4 cm, with a total measure of 23.2 inches or 59 cm with shirosaya. Total weight is 697 g. The Bonji (sanscrit) carvings are exceptional. Habaki is in wood. With silk bag. Circa 1580. No sword rack included.
