Japanese Edo Hotei Karako Tsuba NBTHK Papers
Edo period huge Hotei and Karako Tsuba of Katana with NBTHK papers. Stunning and beautiful tsuba, unsigned but attributed to Shoami by judgment papers. This giant size (260 g ) tsuba of 9.2 cm or 3.6 inches is iron, finely carved and gold inlaid. Comes with box and NBTHK papers. Circa 1700.
