Chief Zacheus Olowonubi Oloruntoba (1934 2014) Nigeria, pen and ink on muslin laid on board showing tribal African faces, signed lower right corner, Chief Oloruntoba signed his works both Z.O. And also Z.K. Chief Oloruntoba was of the Yoruba tribe, an artist and also a shaman, clairvoyant, healer, and an herbal medicine consultant for Georgetown University, He claimed his art was linked to his healing practice and he spoke of his compositions as visual translations of his clairvoyant dreams. His works are in the collections of The Museum of Modern Art, The Commonwealth Institute, London, The World Bank, Washington D.C. and is in the private collections of the late Queen Elizabeth II, David Rockefeller, the late Mohammed Ali, Ornette Coleman, amongst others.
