Antique copperplate engraving of the Regal Moth Citheronia Regalis or Persimon Moth, drawn and engraved by Richard Polydore Nodder (British, active 1786 – 1820) from George Shaw and Frederick Nodder’s The Naturalist’s Miscellany published London, 1803, signed RN on lower left, set in modern gilt wood frame with custom matting. Plate marks measure 2.5 inches H x 6.5 W, frame measures 12.25 x 16.25 inches.
