Antique Japanese Samurai Yari Spear, Bamboo Pole

Early Edo Japanese samurai yari spear in shirasaya (white sheath scabbard) and koshirae (pole of bamboo) with red wooden saya. The yari , mumei or unsigned, is 24 inches long (61cm) with a blade of almost 11 inches (27cm). The yari is exceptional for both the size and condition. The hamon is visible on both sides of the blade all the way to the kissaki (tip of the blade).
