Antique Japanese Samurai Kura Saddle
This very nice samurai Kura (saddle) in black lacquered wood is richly decorated with nashiji-nuri (flakes of gold in Japanese lacquer) representing a Tsuru (crane) with a large wingspan. The Japanese crane is a symbol of peace, luck, and longevity, Circa 1700. 16 L x 15 W x 11 inches H. Some chips to lacquer, wood.
