Wedgwood England rare black jasperware portrait medallion of Queen Marie Antoinette of France in relief. This portrait plaque appears to be a re-issue of a sculpted portrait of Marie Antoinette done in the late 1700’s possibly before her death, during the time of Josiah Wedgwood I (see a similar portrait plaque bequeathed to the Fitzwilliam Museum of Cambridge in 1912), marked on back Wedgwood England Marie Antoinette, circa early 1900s, set in later giltwood and ebonized molded frame. 3.5 x 2.75 inches W, frame measures 5.5 x 5 inches W.
