Antique Hand Painted Russian Icon Showing St John the Warrior or St John the Solider. In the Russian Orthodox Church, Saint John is revered as the protector of soldiers, and for those who experience sorrow and difficult circumstances. He is also invoked for the recovery of stolen articles and fugitive slaves. 14 inches H x 12 W.
