Japanese Samurai 62 Plates Armour and Hitsu
Japanese Edo period (1603-1868) samurai complete armour with its own hitsu or armour box. The cuirass, or Dou, is kiritsuke kozane ni Mai dou. The helmet is a 62 plates ken Suji, the most desirable of all kabuto. The front decoration is a brass moon maedate. Kote, haidate and suneate are perfect match for this armour, and in very good shape for age. There is some wear and tear around the neck, which is normal, but the armour is in very good condition for age. The very large Hitsu box is signed inside and shows some kamon on sides. No black base included.
