Italian Enamelled Silver Compact Lipstick Holder

Vintage Italian compact and lipstick holder of solid silver (800 grade), the silver engraved with scroll design, inset enamelling in cobalt and mottled turquoise, the front of each with intricately hand painted classical romantic scene, the lipstick holder marked 800 and with other rubbed hallmarks, the hallmarks on the compact may be behind the mirror but piece has been silver tested, circa 1930s – 1940s. Compact measures 3.25 inches L x 3 W. Lipstick measures 2.25 inches L.
