Antique Samurai Collapsible Chochin Kabuto Helmet
Antique iron Japanese Collapsible Chochin kabuto helmet with blue lacing. Chochin means Japanese lantern, due to the collapsible nature for ease of transport (Please see photos). Here shown with a nice but newer maedate (front decoration). No rack included. Circa end of 18th century. 12.5 inches W x 18 H (including maedate) x 13 deep. Some minor damage to lacquer finish.
