Edo Mastune Samurai Long Katana 2 NBTHK Papers
Edo Kanei period (1624-1644) beautiful long katana signed Minono Kami Fujiwara Mastune with NBTHK papers for the blade and papers for the exceptional koshirae (mountings). The very thick blade is 28 inches (71.2 cm) is impeccable and in pristine condition. The koshirae is also in pristine condition. Fuchi and kashira offers a wave pattern and done with Shakudo, an old Japanese technique that involves alloying gold and copper to create a distinctive rich dark patina. Tsuba is forged iron Sukashi. Menuki set is copper with gold painting. The saya is also in excellent condition. Comes with a silk bag. Stand is not included.
