LOUIS VUITTON Canvas Monogram High 100 Trunk
A Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Lady’s High 100 Trunk With Brass Hardware C.1896. Metal and brass bound, with metal handles, the interior lined in linen with ribbon-taped lid 40 x 22 x 21 in. (102 x 56 x 53 cm.). The lock stamped BTE S.G.D.G. PATENT, LOUIS VUITTON, 1 RUE SCRIBE PARIS, 454 STRAND LONDON, MADE IN FRANCE and numbered 027014, the interior with paper label stamped LOUIS VUITTON, PARIS 1 RUE SCRIBE, LONDON. Wooden slats replaced, some rivets changed, one brass handle replaced with a leather strap, one latch missing, and some metal patches to body and restoration to stencilled monogram canvas, please see photos.
