Chinese Large Cinnabar Panel World Expo Australia
Chinese large handcrafted cinnabar lacquered panel displayed at the Chinese Pavillion at the Australian World Expo 1988, very intricately carved with a scene from The Dream of the Red Mansion by Chao Xuequing, written during the Qing Dynasty, showing aristocratic members of the Begonia Poetry Society drinking wine and composing poems and verses, with certificate from exposition. Panel measures 18 inches H x 24 W, in stand measures 27 inches H x 27 W x 9 deep.
