The French National Guard was instrumental in the establishment of the French 2nd Republic in 1848 and the disposition of King Louis-Philippe, marked on back Louis Nauder officier Garde Nationale 1848. Frame measures 7.75 x 6.75 inches, portrait measures 5 inches H x 4 W.
