Antique French Painted Ormolu Porcelain Clock Urns
Antique French porcelain clock with matching urns, the porcelain bodies with hand painted romantic scenes and heavy applied gilding, mounted with decorative acanthus and flora bronze ormolu. White porcelain dial with roman numerals and hand painted floral garlands mounted within a decorative bronze bezel, the clock face marked J.B. Williamson Montreal for jeweller, watch and clock retailer John Bruce Williamson, whose business was in operation from 1870s to 1900 when the business went into bankruptcy. Back of the case marked Made in France, back of clock stamped 47823 44, circa 1890. Some crazing noted and chip to back foot on one urn that has been crudely restored. Clock measures 10.5 x 10.5 x 4 inches deep, urns measure 11 inches H.
