Description
THE SIMON CHANG COLLECTION – An oval shaped vintage Chinese handmade woven Shanghai weave rattan and bamboo box with wood rims, the top with an eagle in flight with articulating wings. the eagle set with cut bamboo and woven rattan with carved wood elements and set on a carved shaped base attached to the lid of the box, the oval box intricately woven with applied two tone curved bamboo, the underside of lid with the Shanghai Handicrafts paper label, circa mid-century 2nd half 20th century.
Dimensions: 17 inches H x 11 W x 37 L with wings attached.
Condition: One wing needs restoration of articulating joint element
