THE SIMON CHANG COLLECTION – A charming vintage Chinese handmade intricately woven Shanghai weave rattan flip top basket in the form of a sitting chicken, the rear of the chicken with a flip top revealing the storage compartment, with varnished and painted wood elements on the head of the chicken, the base with the Shanghai Handicrafts paper label stamped 329-100, circa mid-century 2nd half 20th century.
