THE SIMON CHANG COLLECTION – An interestingly constructed large square antique Chinese hand embroidered silk embroidered fragment, the silk embroidered fragment showing a five claw blue and turquoise Imperial dragon chasing a pearl, extensive use of gold threading throughout, the construction of the panel in unique in that the original embroidery has been cut and the edge of the dragons tail is now situated in the upper left panel, with a modern brocade edge and olive green silk back, late Qing dynasty – early Republic period. Measuring 17.5 inches H x 16 W.
