THE SIMON CHANG COLLECTION – A Chinese finely crafted satin girdle purse to hold money and change, with intricately hand embroidered design showing an exotic bird on the upper flap and a rooster on the bottom front, both surrounded floral, foliage and tree branches done in the Peking stitch, with hidden third pocket, the girdle belt worn over a robe loops through the top of this purse to hold it in place, circa Qing dynasty early 19th century. Purse measures 6 inches H x 3.5 W. Plexi stand measures 7.5 inches H x 4.5 W x 3 deep.
