THE SIMON CHANG COLLECTION – A Chinese antique satin woman’s headband, of a colourful satin ruyi patchwork design with edge embroidered applique floral and peach motif, lined in pale blue silk, these types of headbands were only worn by married woman and mainly for warmth around the forehead and ears, circa late Qing dynasty late 19th – early 20th century, the inside with remnants of a wax Chinese antique export seal. Laying flat, measuring 10 inches W x 8 H.
