18th C Cusco School Oil on Canvas, The Immaculate Virgin featuring traditional iconography She is shown with an intricately painted crown, surrounded by cherubim appearing at her feet and in the surrounding clouds. The symbols flanking the Virgin, such as the mirror, ladder, cypress, and palm tree, are traditional representations of her virtues, including purity, humility, and protection. Removed from stretcher.
