Japanese Noh No Theater Mask Okina Kokushijijo Signed
Description
Japanese antique hand carved lacquered wood Noh or No theatre mask representing Okina, this being the black faced version normally used for the Sambaso role, one of the oldest masks used, representing a gentle divine influence, the mask has a split jaw (kiriago) with dyed hair eyebrows and horse hair beard.
