A young woman in a bed, having given birth, and a Handmaiden by Giulio Romano.
Giulio Pippi, also known as Giulio Romano (1499-1546), was an Italian painter and architect, and the most talented artist in Raphael’s workshop.
Technique: The artwork is created using pen and brown ink with wash.
Subject: The scene depicts a handmaiden attending to a young woman who is resting in bed, having recently given birth.
Dimensions: 5.25 inches H x 4.25 W.
Condition: Unframed, some creases to paper.
