Vietnamese lacquer panel, attributed to Thanh Le, decorated with two small birds perched among flowering plum or apricot blossom branches on a softly aged crackled ground. The composition uses restrained negative space, pale gilt-toned blossom work, and fine brown line detailing to create a quiet seasonal image associated with spring, renewal, and scholarly refinement. Signed lower left.
