An antique Indo-Persian Mughal Style Damascene iron shield with four raised bosses and interior ring bolts. Decorated with geometric designs and processional figures in damascene gold.

Type: Circular convex shield, used for defence and as a status symbol. 
Origin: Likely dates from the 17th to the 19th century. 
Design: made of steel, featuring four decorative bosses and intricate floral or geometric designs highlighted gold damascene. Script around the perimeter of the shield.
Dimensions: 15.75 inches diameter.
