Description

An antique aide-memoire or travel writing set, dating from the mid-to-late 19th century. These sets were used for taking quick notes or recording dance partners at formal events. 

Set includes:
Aide-Mémoire / Note Case: The larger rectangular item is a notebook with reusable pages that can be written on with a pencil and then wiped clean.
Coin Purse or Vesta Case: The smaller matching item may be a coin purse or a vesta case used for carrying friction matches.
Presentation Case: The fitted leather box, satin-lined case was used for travel or safe storage on a vanity.
All with Monogram, C.C.
Dimensions: Fitted box measures 7.5 inches L x 45 W x 1.5 H, dance card case measures 4.25 x 2.75 inches, vesta measures 3 x 2 inches.
