Henry William Lowe "Hal" Hurst, RI RBA ROI RMS (1865-1938) Oil on Canvas, Portrait of Lieutenant George Walter Nation (1895-1916), son of Frederick and Abigail Geach Nation of Union Club, Victoria, British Columbia.


He attended St. Andrew’s College from 1910 to 1913.
He was serving with the 7th Canadian Infantry Battalion, British Columbia Regiment when he was killed in action on July 25th, 1916 at the age of 21 years. He is buried in the Railway Dugouts Burial Ground, Belgium (Grave Reference: VI. C. 9.)
