A large oil on canvas sketch for the painting, Old Time Sugaring Party (also known as "Maple Syrup Time") by the Canadian artist Adam Sherriff Scott. Signed lower right.

Adam Sherriff Scott (1887-1980) was a prominent Canadian artist known for his detailed historical scenes, portraits, and murals. His work "Old Time Sugaring Party" is one of his most recognized pieces, capturing a traditional Canadian winter scene.
Subject: The piece depicts a traditional Quebecois "sugaring party" at a maple grove (sucrerie). It captures a lively winter scene where people gather around a large boiling cauldron to process maple sap into syrup, with a horse-drawn barrel used for sap collection in the foreground.
