Impressive Pair of Rococo Gilt Bronze Sconces Ca. 1900
Description
A fine pair of gilt bronze wall sconces cast in the Rococo manner, showing cartouche shaped and pierced rocaille backplates with finely chiseled foliate detail, supporting a trio of foliate cast branches rising to urn-shaped nozzles atop flattened drip pans. The reverse of both backplates bearing impressed foundry marks E.G.G. Dimensions, 18 inches high x 15.75inches wide x 10inches deep. 13 pounds each.
