Josef Hoffman (attrib.) for Moser Faceted Amethyst Glass Vase, 7.75 Inches
Description
Heavy art glass vase attributed to Hoffman Moser, executed in rich amethyst-toned glass with deeply cut and faceted sides forming an octagonal silhouette. The thick-walled construction and stepped geometric body create strong light refraction and architectural presence.
The interior is smoothly finished with concentric shaping visible through the faceting. The base is polished with typical shelf wear consistent with age.
A bold and sculptural example of late 20th-century studio art glass design.
