Collection of 3 Antique 19th C. English Copper Haystack Measuring Jugs
Description
Set of antique English copper haystack measures / kitchen decoration.
These conical-shaped jugs were historically used in English inns and public houses during the 19th century to measure and serve liquids like ale and cider.
They are called haystack measures due to their distinctive wide-based form. Largest marked Suffolk, measures 12 inches H x 8 W, two smaller measures marked Quart and Pint.
