Description
19th C Antique French Rococo Gilt Bronze and Parquetry Inlaid Inkwell Encrier.
Crafted from elaborately carved wood with a fine patina and serpentine bombe shape, a characteristic of the Louis XV style, featuring ornate Rocaille decoration with shell and scrolling influences. The inkwell is supported by four characteristic French-style scroll legs. With two glass ink pot inserts (one with chips). Measuring 14 inches W x 10 deep x 4 H.
