Description
A mezzotint reproduction after E.M. Hester, published in 1929 by Alfred Bell & Co. Ltd., 6 Old Bond Street, London. The composition depicts a romantic female figure in classical drapery standing beside a hound within a pastoral landscape.
Printed in rich tonal colour typical of interwar mezzotint and photogravure processes, the work bears the printed signature “E.M. Hester” and copyright notation dated 1929 in the United States of America.
Presented under glass in a later frame.
