Lot 91:
Japanese Ink and Wash Mountain Landscape, Bunjinga Tradition, signature and seal
Description
Ink and light wash landscape painting on paper depicting mist-covered mountains and forested ridges emerging through drifting clouds. Executed in a restrained monochrome palette, the composition emphasizes atmospheric depth through layered washes and textured brushwork. Abbreviated tree forms and soft transitions between ink and wash create a balanced, contemplative scene, with small groups of birds in flight animating the upper register. Signed in ink at lower left and impressed with a red artist’s seal. Presented mounted and framed.
