Large Inuit Soapstone Hunter with Raised Knife, 8.75 Inches
Description
Inuit soapstone sculpture depicting a standing hunter in dynamic pose with arm raised, holding a carved knife above the shoulder. The figure is rendered in mottled green stone with natural black and ochre inclusions, carved in a compact, powerful stance with bent knees and broad parka collar. The facial features are strongly modeled with defined cheeks, incised eyes, and stylized hair.
