Lot of Finnish Oiva Toikka for Iittala Rayska glass bird and Pulmu glass bird

Oiva Toikka (Finnish, 1931-2019) for Iittala Caspian Tern (Rayska) glass bird, produced as a limited, numbered series from 1988-1992. The smaller item is a Pulmu black glass bird from the same collection. The birds are handcrafted and mouth-blown at the Iittala Glass Factory in Finland.

The larger bird features a clear matte glass body with a pulled-feather pattern and a black head and beak. Signed on underside, Oiva Toikka, Nuutajarvi, Notijo, E 767/3000 and measures 12 inchesL x 5.5 H x 4 W. The black bird has a solid coloured body, signed on underside, Nuutajarvi, O. Toikka. Measuring 3.5 inches L x 2.5 H x 2 W.
