Antique Reliquary Silver Theca Pendant Ex Oss. S. Lucae, Evang
Description
Late 19th century silver oval theca housing on the background of red silk the first class ex ossibus (of the bone) relic of Saint Luke, the Evangelist. The relic is titled on ornate paper cedula as Ex Oss. S. Lucae, Evang. The back of the theca is secured by a seal of red Spanish wax. Theca measures 1.25 inches L, chain measures 16.5 inches L.
