Ellisson & Co. in Quebec Hand Tinted Photograph of the painting Indian Hunter on Snowshoes (also known as The Indian Hunter or Indian Trapper) by Cornelius Krieghoff.
The artist, Cornelius Krieghoff (1815-1872), was a Dutch-born Canadian painter known for his landscapes and scenes of Canadian life.
He created several variations of this subject, depicting Indigenous people in winter landscapes.
