Eric Riordon (Canadian 1906-1948) Oil on Canvas Board Winter Landscape, Titled A corner of the North river. Numbered on back of board, #43. Board measures 12“ x 16“W, 19“ x 24“ framed.
Riordon became known during the 1930s for his fine paintings of the Laurentians region of Quebec, particularly the areas around Sainte-Adèle and Sainte-Agathe, which he knew well from spending summers there. He was especially noted for his winter scenes.
