19th C Augustus of Prima Porta, standing figure of Augustus Caesar wearing an armoured chest plate, cloak wrapped around his waist and draped in his left arm with sceptre in left hand, figure of cupid riding a dolphin to his right. Bronze measure 36 inches high x 23 W, including marble plinth, statue measures 7 feet H. Signed “A. Rohrich, Roma on base of sculpture.
