A large devotional painting depicting The Last Supper, with Christ at the center surrounded by the Apostles in dramatic chiaroscuro beneath a red canopy. The composition follows the Italian Baroque tradition of Leonardo da Vinci’s and Rubens’s interpretations, combining expressive gestures, warm tonal contrasts, and theatrical lighting typical of the late Baroque.
Condition: Craquelure and scattered paint losses, especially along the lower edge; surface soiling and abrasion; relined and restored on a 19th-century stretcher; presented in a later gilt and ebonized frame.
