Antique Japanese Samurai Long Wakizashi
Description
Antique long Japanese samurai long wakizashi from the Edo period (1603-1868) Mumei, or unsigned. Blade does have stains , scratches and blemishes, but in very good condition. The saya is tight on the sword, and in very good condition with no loss of lacquer, and has an interesting finish with the Imperial house of Japan kamon of a chrysanthemum. The tsuka or handle does have a slight damage that has been fixed a long time ago, it is a very tight handle. Comes with a silk bag. No stand included.. The blade is 21 inches or 53,5 cm. Total length with the saya or sheath is 32,8 inches or 83cm. Blade weight is. 481 g, total weight with saya is 914 g. The saya has been refinished at some point.
